Description of the project
In the research project funded by the Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS), we focused on teachers' and educators’ attitudes and risk perceptions regarding electromagnetic fields (EMF). Teachers and educators who are in close contact with children and adolescents daily are often confronted with questions about EMF and their potential effects. The project aims to assess the level of knowledge, risk perception, and information needs of these professionals regarding EMF. In collaboration with researchers from the LMU Hospital, a cross-sectional study was conducted, including a quantitative online survey and qualitative, guideline-based group discussions. The results aim to help identify and address the information needs of educators regarding better communication of EMF-related information.
